I wanted #9 sooo much, but that one was not for sale then...
But Doug have promised me that one in birthday present 2011, only 5 days left now Doug.

As said these are all top shelf helmets!!!

I don’t remember what year I sold it, but I am pretty certain it went to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Canada</st1lace></st1:country-region>. When and if I come across the collector I will see what I can do.

I think 9 was the M35 which Darrel kept and did not sell me, that is the one I would have died withJ!
Here are pics of one of my favorites which I think you still have Doug. At least I hope you still have it.
I tend to study everything under magnification, this is what addicts do! Anyway, this helmet was way too cool to study, it rocks!

Wonderful posting Bob,

Why do you need SSTK? I think you need to buy some books where you will find most of these helmets. Many of them are in Several of the Kelly Hicks books.

I still also have the above hand rendered transitional named to Horst Hartmann, which I just finished researching and have his documents now. This helmet is one amazing transitional that I intend to post one of these days and there are nice unit markings under the linerpads. One of my favorite helmets too. Heck, all the blackies are my favorite

I agree. Just looking at these black helmets, I began to understand that all German helmets have character.

However, some helmets such as these have much more character.
