Thanks again for all your comments.

I already have a M35 DD Kriegsmarine helmet in my collection and am very happy with that helmet.

The person that sold this helmet to me, also had one other item, which she wanted to keep as a souvenir. That was a KRIEGSMARINE cloth eagle, this was taped inside the helmet.This does not prove anything, but I thought it was interesting.

I am going to keep and enjoy this helmet and it will be in my collection, whether some people think it is a "TONED HEER" or 'KRIEGSMARINE"

The toned heer placed on the thread by Marcus is obviously toned and is not gold in color, like the one I have shown, thank you Marcus. Marcus and Robb think its a KM, others do not and they have a right to there opinion.

I do not intend to sell the helmet.

I just wanted to share with you, my recent find and get your opinions and I now have them.

Next month I will be at a show here in Los Angeles and will show it to an expert on helmets. If he says its a KM then I will post it here. If not a KM, I will still post the result here, as it does not matter to me what it is, as long as it is authentic to the period.

There are no other numbers or stamps inside the helmet, was there a batch number for KM helmets ? This would really help.

Anyway, I am off to find more items this weekend and I will share these on the site, if I am lucky enough to aquire them.

I was thrilled to aquire this helmet this week, as the person who had found it, was ready to throw it in the trash !

Remember the thrill is in the hunt.
