Early LW pith helmet, eagle original ?

Hello Guys,

This one is offered me. Since i'm not really into pith helmets and their decals i will ask for your opinions. Decal looks rather sloppy to me..
Chinstrap is gone, does it decrease the value much?

If it is a fake/repro eagle, that reduces the value a lot, a missing chinstrap, not so much. Can you post a straight on view of the eagle ? Is the area where the Swaz is grabbed by the claws open or filled with metal?

To me, the eagle in question looks fake, think it's the one that is made of somekind alloy, round wire prongs with blunt tip ..

If so, then a sun helmet with fake eagle and without the chin strap isn't worth much, not even 100 euro IMO, it's very hard to find the missing parts.

Yes, most probably .., this type of eagle should show good detail and it doesn't, claws etc..
I'm very curious about the prongs ..

Here two better pics of the bird. The pith itself is imo 100% original. With this pics the bird also looks good. Perhaps i'm wrong?
