I thought well what can I loose at least I will get an M42 with a nice liner and chinstrap ,so I waited and watched 2 bidders outbid each other by 1 Euro every 5 minutes ,then at the last second whacked in 303 Euros and The rest as they say is History . It even has a thin layer of mould on the outside . The liner is a tad dry as is the 1941 dated chinstrap. And its quite dirty ,but I wont be cleaning it ,Rob.

Hi Chris interesting point you make ,those lines and grooves are from the paintbrush ,when you use old paintbrushes and the wrong paint on the wrong surface ,you dont get the desired smooth surface as shown in the Dulux ads . No signs of any wire wool having been used , cheers RobGod please take justin bieber and gave us dio back

HI Rob,
I can't really say much about the originality of the camo-job ( leave that to the experts), but it looks good IMO. Also, on picture #6, there seems to be traces of a wire onces attached...could be just a scratch, as it doesn't appear to be all around the helmet...
Cheers
