    'ss' austrian helmet

    I'm pretty sure this is a WWI austrian helm and equally sure it is NOT a real SS-VT helm. comments? thanks and 2011 best

    It's a post WW1 Tzchech helmet. Depending on the stamp on the shell could be an original WW1 shell repainted in the tipical greenish colour use in the 20s.

                Not really my area, but interesting all the same. The decals look to be of a sticky back plastic type, which is wrong, as far as I understand about them, so yes its a fake, IMO. It all looks a bit pimped to me. Did such helmets exist?
