Hi Just picked up the DD M-35 Military Combat Helmet at a basement sale - it was stuck up in the rafters even has some white paint specks on it. Both of the decals are awesome. From the decals what type of Military police was this helmet used for? The liner is dry with one broken finger. The shell is marked "ET64" with "3655" on the rear skirt. Under the "3655" is also the number "5.". The liner band is marked "56" with the date of "1937" The dried chinstrap is dated 1938. It is also named, in yellow, to " Reclaire 3/63"
The outside shell has the apple green finish. Some sections are dull, some are a high luster. This is not a re-issued helmet. What would cause the finish to be dull and a high luster?
Fred
