Already tested : here's what does salty air on a helmet (dunno if I'm the Chris you're referrig to, Rolf ? Anyway... <!-- / message --><!-- attachments -->). The whole shelf shows little rust bubbles, even under the paint ; the decal didn't resist in a too bad way.

Now, from what I've been told about KM decal backings, the abundance of white backing being exposed is a hallmark of the KM decal, yes? In this case I would give it the KM stamp of approval

I apologize for for earlier critique of his post. I had a long day at work and when I got an email reply to a thread i started 6 months ago the wording of it rubbed me the wrong way. All comments are always welcome to anything I post, whether I agree with them or not I am here to learn more like everyone else. I dug the helmet out and will try to get a daylight closeup of it tommorow.
