M16 transitional DD with black painting !

Here is I think an interesting piece,
a so called transitional helmet with two
WH insignas and black painting !!

Any ideas of whom could have worn it ?

Some how I like it. I am not doing too good today calling Good vs Bad .
I like the liner and the early flat split pins and the strap. Aint going to make a call on decals or when & where applied and the balck color.
Interesting helmet.
