I'm no expert on these covers, but that one sure looks period and authentic.

The repairs in post 3 and 6 look to be post war, beside that, based on these pics, I like it.

Ca. midd 1944 I'd say, not the very last run. It looks like it has a "mixed clip construction" were the small pin is still aluminium but the rest already made of steel. Clips came in a number of combinations of steel and aluminium.

                    Cheers

                    Fritz

                      Cover

Greetings: I really like your cover. IMO it is a nice original. The cover appears late war with the use of steel and aluminun in the construction of the rocker clips and camo pattern. The rocker clips are nicely scallopped and rounded corners, and I like the aluminum rivet heads. The construction of the cover and stitching looks good with the excessive carry through on the camo strips.
                      Regards
                      Zeke

                          WSS camo cover

                          Hi Zeke, Fritz and Hedning,

                          Thx for your replies.

Seller told me that this cover was found in Normandy.

Fritz, Zeke, could Normandy be the place of find for this kind of covers?

                          Regards

It could, as I said, I believe it to be of ca. midd 1944 production, the later ones (late 44 and 45) look different in a number of aspects.
