M40 Combat helmet - Luftschutz decaled 'S66'

Dropped in my lap yesterday. Looks to be stamped "S66" which I'm guessing should really be NS66?

Nice leather liner & strap in rather nice shape.

Exterior appears black while the interior appears brownish/green.

Would welcome any comments.

I think it's Q66 for Quist. The vents support this theory.

I don't recognize the liner type but it's obviously civilian. Strap might be original combat strap.

Postwar Norwegian Home Guard?

I'm not a helmet expert by any means but I think it may be a postwar Norwegian Home Guard Helmet.

The decal is a repro.

I believe the liner leather is post-war, the inside paint is Norwegian and the exterior paint and decal are fake.

Well that well & truly bites now doesn't it?

I'm guessing then (not being a helmet fanatic) that the only thing this is good for is to have someone restore it to original color (paint)?
