Here are the two others in my collection. This example is the first one I ever bought. It was $200 at the Allentown Gun Show back in the early 1980s - a lot of money at the time. I bought it because my uncle, Joseph Walinsky, served in the 88th Infantry Division ("The Blue Devils"). Through the 88th Infantry Association, I managed to identify the unit and got in contact with several people whose names appear on the helmet. One member, Chris Nunnery, provided me with a photo showing many of the men named on the helmet.

I acquired this one directly from Jim Harris, a Silver Star recipient of Company K, 2nd Platoon, 407th Infantry Regiment, 102nd Infantry Division. Notice the SS runes next to the city of Welz, where the 102nd fought against SS troops.
