My Single Decal Luftwaffe m42, textured

Hi, I just got my digiital camera for x mas so i figured id post one of my helmets-
I Got this helmet over the summer at a small military show for only 200 dollars.
Its not "mint" at all and thats how I like it, it has some pant chipping and some rust. As you can see its got medium textured pant, and it was white washed once as you can see the remanants of it in the texture. the liner is really worn but has a name and unit in it but its pretty illegable, all i can really make out is that he was Flak, and part of his name. The chinstrap is offoucourse repro which i added for effect

Nice find! It looks to me like this was possibly repainted in the field and some point with something added in the paint giving it a different texture than usual, yours seems to have a more pebbled bumpy look to it. Looks great!

Nice helmet. I have a Luft M42 w/ the same finish. I have always thought it to be a factory finish
