    Well done Peter !, thats come up looking great.

    When applying oxalic acid to the helmet, did any solution touch the decal ??

      Hi Paul, yes i soak the entire helmet in a bucket, it will not harm it, but you have to be very careful when cleaning it, only use a very soft sponge that can't stick to any flakes that might be sticking out.

        Finally the weather cleared up, so here is a photo of the inside and liner. Keep in mind that the helmet has been lying upside down. The leather is no longer dry even though it looks to be
