FRED: I'm still a litte doubtful. But the more I study pictures the more I find little things I like about it. I have several chicken wires. 2 are full basket. one has wire going all around inside rim to hold in bends. Other is tucked like yours, with no reinforcement. Just a little tighter. Chicken wires are awsome to look at. Wish you the best with this one.
I know noting about wired helmets and, you know.. everyone shpuld have one, so i thought, hey.. why not give it to me so i can inspect it first hand and then put it on my shelf!?

Thanks.
As I wrote i didn't like it first.
But after looking and looking something popped up.
I'll have soon the pleasure to look at it closely and to take more pics.
Stay tuned.
Thanks.

If this helmet checks out "OK" then you got yourself a heck of a deal!
Hi guys,
helmet landed yesterday: I have no doubt that the wire is original to the helmet. Will post new pics in a new thread next week.
Many thanks to Tom for the smooth deal!
I had time for some quick pictures this afternoon.
You can see interaction between the shell and the wire, as well that the wire have moved a bit at some points, which leave a rustfree place while the rust is on the wire.
