    Hello,

Thank you everyone for the responses. I've been trying for a while to post a few we had. The net is actually very long, and tucked under the liner, there's alot under it. I'm glad you guys like it as much as I do. I'll post a few more tonight .

    Thanks again
    Tony

      Wowza!

      Now that's a beautiful lid.

If that helmet is not prominently displayed for all to see (like on your living room mantle, as a centerpiece on your dining room table, on your car's back dash, on your head at home & work) then you are an unworthy owner.

Thanks for taking the time to share some of your teasures.

, it's been in a closet for about 30 years, finally got all of our stuff out in a room dedicated to militaria a while back. Thanks for the comments!

I believe btw that the netting is from and US GI Issue paratroop net and not a standard german issue. Am I right ? ( with a personal twist )... The inside netting remain is in my opinion like Anthony already says restings of the helmet and no face veil, no reason to believe that at all.
Doesn't do the helmet harm at all, it gives it even more character in my opinion.

Anthony, sorry to ask, but was the netting broken along the edges and gently repaired ?

          Looks great, no matter how.

Beautiful camo helmet! The net has that lived in/used look you just don't see on most "netted" lids. Whoa........I like it.

                  Best, Charlie
