Hello,

Just wanted to post one that we've had in our collection for a long time, guess he was an easy target , can't see why. Came out of a home a long while back with a few others I'll post in the next day or so . I know the photos are dark and hard to see but I will post better ones when I can get a chance. Thank you for looking!

Any close ups you want let me know! Theres paint on the band and aluminum pins holding the leather on as well.

Thank you for the comment. i agree on the scarry part! I'll post close up photos tomorrow, theres actually a bullet mark on it!

can you post some close pictures of the paint on the liner band and the paint on the inner skirt in the same picture.
also some closer pics of the damage/chipping in the outer shell and top of shell

Seems it only has one layer of paint and fresh bullet marks..

Nope, 2 coats, if you look where its chipped off you can see the white under the red, especially on the right side vent hole. As for the bullet mark, i thought the same but its just as it was found. The paint is all crazed / cracking around it as well "Can't see in photos."

I like it... from what I see here
Medic helmets are maybe the one of the hardest to find original.
I don't believe the damage is caused by a bullet but more like scrapnell.
Are there white paint remains visable on the liner it self or only on the liner band.

You're probably right, it might also explain the the lower small dent and another on top thats hard to see in the photos. There's white on one aluminum liner pin, and on the very edge of the chin strap loop.
