Yes indeed, handsome and important history, all saved by young US soldiers. Saved at a time when much of the world hated and destroyed any and all things from the TR period. These helmets certainly exist today because of those US soldiers, so many thousands of others were destroyed as scrap.

The incredible helmets on this thread, are a credit to one collector's wisdom, keen eye, and dedication. Well done Russ, the stuff of WWII combat militaria dreams! And pure camo art!
