SS Helmet?

Today I saw a black plastic SS helmet. I was told that this was used in parades. The helmet looks exactly like a police black helmet with the screen vents. It has two decals, a white SS on one side and a big white swastica on the other. It looks all original, but nothing like any SS helmet I ever found any reference to.

I could not take photos of it, but maybe somebody can help in identifying this sort of helmet. If you need further information let me know, I can always do another visit.

There are examples of lightweight vulkanfibre (plastic) helmets used by the SS...I have one in my own collection. However, these were manufactured after about 1936 for use by higher ranking officers and were of private purchase. The one you describe has insignia that I am not familiar with...sounds almost like mix of LAH and VT insignia. I realize you don't have any photos but they sure would help to identify it. At this point in time it seems to me like it's a fantasy piece.
