    "Issue label" in helmets (?!)...

Is there such thing as a label on the inside rim of the helmet that contains info such as feldpost#, rank, name etc. such as this:

"...stamped in rear 7355. Contains original Issuee Lable with owners Rank (Ogefr.), Name and Field Post Number xx xxx (blurred here on purpose ? tag is very readable)..."

This is what the seller says in his description. Is this "selller B.S" or true? Never heard of it myself. Thanks for the help guys.

Is the seller talking about a name and post painted on the skirt of the helmet? If so, this is common. Or maybe he is talking about a liner tag, not as common but still typical.

Attached is a liner tag in a transitional I have.

Ty, it's an adheasive (sp?) label with all the said info on it stuck to the rear inside flange of the helmet . Here is the link....awefull pics. I asked for more. though.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=2203974360

I would wait and see better pictures. Tag doesn't look too old. They are typically sewn to the inside or outside of the liner. I think the glued ones are unlikely correct.

If I get some good pics of the helmet, I will bid on it if I can get it cheap, if not I'll let it slip by. As of now I will count the label as fake until proven otherwise. From the blurry pics it seems as if it may indeed be a decent low budget lid. We'll see...

I'd pass on this one guys, there is no refind on it, and all I got was more bad, very general pics. He did not send pics of the 3 rivets like I asked because he said he "could'nt get to the from the inside"to see if they had been re-bent. Also, he does not want to give any info on the tag, or pics, only to the winning bidder .
