I have bought two shells like the first one from ebay for about 30-40 euros each. I have been told that they were painted black post war while they were in use by fire-fighters in various european countries.
Nice shells but they sure do not worth 168$.

To be a little more specific, you are 100% correct about the second helmet. It is a total fake helmet 100%. Wrong everything right down to the color. It would be target practice on top of a manaquin and thats it! The first helmet is an original German helmet that has been stripped and repainted post war for use by another country. Historical value=$0. It can be repainted and displayed or used, but it is overpriced at that price!!! Maybe 1/2 of that price would be a deal!!
