Well both the "helmet pile" and the "Hooter Girl" are outstanding!!! I would love to own an excavated example from the pile...As for the girl, I don't think my bride would approve...........

Feels kind a strange to bury a lot of good German steel in times of need?

            I'm not sure btw,

It would not surprice me if that lady costs the same amount of money as that pile of helmets in the end.
Do you know what a girl like this spents when you don't keep them in your sight ?

A FJ M38 DD on a convertable,a nice SD LW M40 on a pair of shoes, a normandy camo on a new trousers, some nice chinstraps to do her hair 4 times a week, a nice transitional for a pair of sunglasses, a couple of ND M42's for a handbag.... and so on and so on.

and yes, helmets get better with age and a women, ah well....

If a couple of replies here don't make sense, it's becuz I deleted a couple of pix of chix in a bikini.

I have nothing against chix in bikinis - believe me - but once you start that kinda thing in a thread, it's only a matter of time before it becomes a free-for-all of tastelessness.

              Thanks for understanding, carry on.

The first pile of helmets photo was taken in Hilversum (Holland) May 18th, 1945. In 1995, travelling to Amsterdam, the train stopped at Hilversum station. I saw the name of the Station "Hilversum" by chance. I had the temptation to get off to see if there was at least any ND of that pile there... Till now I've been tortured myself because I lost the opportunity...
Yes Dion.. as you say.. “a collectors dream”

The photo was not taken in Hilversum. I was taken in Soest, near Hilversum. This pile was on a grassfield near Paleis Soestdijk.
I will take a picture of the field today, this week.
