This is currently on an auction, what do you guys think?

Appears to be an apple green painted with winter camo

I agree, if i win it, i'll post some close ups in this thread. Have no experience with winter camos what so ever, so what would be a fair price?

If all is Ok, I would think of 1,500-2000 USD range.

Tom, my guts tells me it has a very good chance of being a real camo, so unless it goes to the sky, it's mine

My advice would be not to bid.

Before buying ask for better pics and some close ups.

Where does the helmet come from? Latvia?
Where does the seller come from?
What kind of auction is it? Ebay?

Perry, i already gave a minor bid, so if it last, it's a good price for the helmet, even if it's a fake winter camo

Eugene, it's on a danish auction and the seller is danish. He's not a helmet seller as far as i can see, and is selling this as an 'Old german helmet'.

I think its a rusty colour on the inside and I suspect the liner has been put in at some time later though better photos would show that ,as for the camo it has a chance , it all depends on a lot of ponderables like where its coming from etc .Rob

Won the auction for a small ammount - Now let's get this baby home for a photo shoot!

Here it is folks. It's an ET64 shell with lot number 4992. White on the outside, apple green on the inside. Looks like it has been repaired in the top of the shell at some point. Chinstrap is marked with something that looks to be 'KIPP'?

Here's the photos, what are your opinion on this?

In this photo it appears that it has been blow torched. My opinion of course.
