original shell and liner band/pins only. it was fresh painted black right over the lovely gun metal patina you see here. rare for it's size, that's why i got it...

what did you use to remove the black paint? -
light soft cloth rubbing with acetone, no damp cloth
it was fresh and came right off. i was amazed to discover this gun metal patina underneath. gives it lots of character that i like. i'd rather it have its original color of course, but this is definitely a second best

like i said "original shell and liner band/pins only". so yes, the leather is post war. this is just how i got it, plus a fake chinstrap that i have since removed.
i'd like to see if anyone else has a size 60 M18... i think they are quite rare, much more so than M16s.Comment

Yours is the first I have seen in captivity. Rare is a very good word for the size.Comment
