Great Helmet

Could the owl have been the soldiers nickname. Perhaps he personalized his helmet? Or perhaps related to a badge or his intellect? I did see a sniper helmet that the soldier painted on the inside of the helmet an image of the sniper badge. Any case, great helmet. Congratulations !

I've had this one for awhile now. Came out of an old bar in Wisconsin if memory serves me correctly. No one knows what these owls represent either??? Something to do with 5th US Army.

i have seen a helmet with a forest painted on. even a little squirrel in one of the trees.

Yes he did, he will be missed.

Always holding John in my thoughts, but thought of him a lot more over Christmas. Shows are lacking something without John there, a great guy.
