Imp. splotch camo

Hi all,
onother one here for your comments, this is also an M16 which has had a `splotch ` camo design applied over a hand painted green base.

One of my favourite imperial helmets your thoughts please.

Ashley, I know of a total of 4 or 5 WWI helmets with that cloud/splotch pattern. It was a very uncommon pattern. I too have one.

But there is a classic photo of a German paint wagon applying that (or a similar) pattern to german helmets and quite a few soldiers are standing by wearing that same pattern.

A guy in New England had number of prints of that photograph for sale two years ago.
Just thought you might like to know.

thanks for your replys, it was pure luck that i acquired this helmet as a local shop keeper refused to purchase it because he thought that the splotches were the remians of the origonal paint, not that it was comoe`d

High john if you manage to acquire a copy of the photo i`ll be glad to purchase.
