And when I start a thread...

    ... it's for Luca !
He wants to show us this very nice M.42 "for some opinions". But what to say about it except it's a very nice named one ?
Maybe that the owner might have had serious problems and asking the question : what exactly is written on the liner ????

I cannot read what's written on the leather.. Have you encrypted it already? (or how do you say this )

...and when Chris starts a new thread I can only say: THANKS!!
I want to show you this M42: it was thrown in a
ditch near Slagelse (Denmark), shortly after the Germans surrender on
may 5th 1945, when they were walking for Korsoer (a ferry city/port).
I cannot read the name I hope someone can help in decipher it, or in understanding what the numbers mean!!!!

The leather is very dry in the central part, could it be caused by rain??
            P.S.
Den thanks for remembering my birthday!!!!

Nice helmet. Any idea of why the chinstrap is cut in the middle?

                      Luca,

Pity it was not 2 tone camo to match the liner

                      Very nice piece.
