M40 KM helmet?

Hi,
I was was wondering if this could be a KM helmet? The decal appears to have gold flecks in it. I have had it for quite some time, but never gave it much thought until a collector friend brought it to my attention. The helmet has quite a bit of oxidation, but does have some white areas showing through. I would appreciate your thoughts.

I appreciate your input, it appears everyone agrees with this helmets being an aged Heer.
