Interesting thread! Unfortunately I can't see any irregularities on any of my lids so can't contribute to this one... Sorry!

I have a M42 which is marked on the back rim ck 64 instead of clk - no trace of the l.
Also have a metal liner ring with absolutely no markings - no size mark and no manufacturer mark, nothing at all

        Hi Chris,

I posted an M35 Luftschutz helmet a couple of months ago that only had one vent installed, the other side was never even drilled. I'll post a pic later, and check to see if any other QA issues exist with other pieces.

          - Stephen, very interesting, never saw that before ; thanx for sharing it : I was about to think this would stay a "one man thread"... and I was totally out of ammo.
          - Damn Rich, your helmets are always too perfect !
          - Theodor, I think I remember the non-marked liner . Hem... But posting a pic of your CK64 marking would be great.
          - Don, so it was you ; yes, please post a pic again, it would be interesting to have it here (and to see it again).

            Hi Chris,

I am sure you remember it, it is a piece to remember, the most important find after the WWI Swiss submatine captain's cap But seriously, the liner is real, seems a manufacturer mistake.

As for the marking - sorry, impossible, no way to make a picture of it with my damned bad digital camera I will try, but almost sure for the negative result
