        Hi Merdock,

        IMO the camo is post-war. Looking at the wear of the paint, I don't see the wear where I want it to see after 60 years and a couple of "war"-years. The camo paint here looks artificialy aged.
        Also look at the condition on the inside of the helmet and the outside. On the inside the rim is a little bit rusted, the liner shows wear. The outside has too little wear in contrast with the inside of the helmet..

            Hi,
            Thats what i expected ,
            when i bought it a number of years ago i thought it was ok ,but thanks to what i 've leaned here i now know better.All the best Merdock

              Checkout the air vent on it also. Thats a very large one for a wartime helmet. Most post-war shells have the rather large airvent. Whats the manufacture stamp in the shell?
