Hi. this is my first thread on this particular forum and I will be the first to admit that my knowledge of steel helmets is limited at best! Anyway down to business, I am posting this photos on behalf of a friend who is considering selling the helmet in the near future. NS 64 and E205 is stamped on the inside of the rim, otherwise I know very little about the helmet other than the chinstrap is not original to the helmet (this is an RB Numbered example recently attached) and also the helmet looks a lot "cleaner" in the photos than in reality. Any feedback regarding originality and a rough estimation of value will be gratefully recieved. Thanks in Advance.

I agree with Perry, 2 post war reproduction decals. I assume someone has tried to reproduce a Kriegsmarine.

For re-enacting value you may be looking at $75 - $150.

Original decal attached, the differences are evident.

The proportions on the tri-color shield look way off. And I'm not comfortable with the eagle,either.

Like Perry said, others may have differing opinions. I myself would stay away from it.

Hi Guys, thanks for your opinions and input, and yes I will leave this one well alone! To be honest my gut feeling was that it all looked too nice and perfect but I wanted to hear it from you guys. Thanks again.
