    M35 Km

    Gang:

I just picked this up yesterday . . . and I'm really excited about it, so I had to share! KM M35 reissue. The aluminum band is still in it, dated 1938. There's a nice 1938 dome stamp, too. Rivets and washers original, nice dust build up. The interior skirt has the early apple-green paint. The re-paint is a dark green, brush strokes evident. The tri-color decal is under there, too! Nice eagle.

The contrast between the dark and lighter green is not as dramatic as in the photos.

I just love this been-there helmet.

That is a perfect helmet to me. A classic repaint, tells a true story.
      I love that one too.

      I still don't have a good KM

Ty: I think I was at the same place you were: The MAX. At least I heard your name called on the P.A.!

I got it early on Friday from someone who had a small table and not much else to offer. Before I bought the helmet, though, I had Bill Shea give it the once-and-twice over. Bill has a sterling reputation, and in my mind, this experience only added to it: Checking out a helmet for me when I wasn't even buying from him. Class guy.

Sweet lid. The only thing wrong with this helmet is that it is not currently in Knoxville!
