M35 SS-please help

Hi, I was offered this M35 SS motor unit helmet.
The story is that the old partisan from Croatia captured it and gave it a few days ago to my friend but he put some new green paint on origilnal one.
My question is ifr somebody can comfirm the originaly of the helmet.
It is not my area so plese help. is this original SS or WH helmet paint covered with a new painjob.

It is an M-42, liner looks wrong and chinstrap also. Doesnt mean its not what he said but its been screwed up from its original condition. Do I see screws for the split pins?
