    SA Luftschutz

I wanted to post these pictures for a friend that just purchased this helmet at an estate sale over the weekend. We welcome any input on this helmet, and appreciate all comments. I'm aware of the tan colored SA Luftschutz and its rarity, but was wondering how the blue/black version compares in value. I was also wondering if the clear plastic chin strap was common for this helmet? I'm sorry I couldn't get a better shot of the eagle, I use photobucket and they would have deleted it. Thanks Jon

Another question that I had about this helmet was the type of liner that it has. It appears to be a very lite weight almost felt material, was this common, or is this some type of replacement? Thanks Jon

      Helmet

I have seen these clear plastic chinstraps on civil helmets before. The important question is if the SA decal is original. I believe SA helmets are very rare. Let's see some closeups of the decal.

The Plastic Chinstrap And Inexpensive Liner Are Standard To These Helmets. I Have Always Considered The Black Ones To Be N S K K And The Brown Ones S A.
