Researching by Feld Post Number

Hey guys, just wondering if anybody has researched something to an individual by feldpost number.

Written in the rear skirt of a helmet is:

Pz. Grn. Funk. F. P. N. 10056.

The current owner said it had been researched to the Headquarters Company, 69th Pz. Gren. Regt., 10th Panzer Division, but that's as much as he's got on it.

I was hoping to find out when the guy joined the unit, and if he was killed/wounded/captured.

Any ideas on how to proceed are much appreciated.
