What do you think of the Red Cross painting, I've read there are alot off fakes of these on the market...

Is it normal that the paint on the sides is more white then the rest?

Need better pics but the darker portions of the white look to have had dirt applied while the paint was still damp. The lighter portions are where the paint peeled away when the dirt was rubbed into the paint.
Excessive chipping to the red cross that doesn't appear the white field.
