    Liner and rivets: some opinions

Hallo guys!!!I have shown you this liner in a M35 SS helmet, you told me it was a norwegian liner!
    I would like to know:
1- if the liner band is original german (I have never seen this markings, without any date), or is norwegian,

2- if they repainted an original leather, or is it norwegian,

3-and the last question: have you ever seen a rivet marked???

    Thanks
    P.S.
Obvously Chris will post the pics

Not at all, Luca, not at all. But well, I just had a phone call from your uncle : he made me a proposition I can't refuse...

There's a subliminal message in your pics...
About your questions : yes, no, yes, no and yes.
Kiss Don Luca senior's ring for me, and tell him the job is done !

If he lets his wife in Palerme, send him my agreement and respects...

Here's a norwegian reissue helmet : ONLY the outside rough paint was added and the liner stained in red-brown. The ENTIRE helmet remains original under this : can you believe it was once an "apple-green" DD (!) M.35 ?!

Here, the tricolor shield is still visible :

And here, the original "apple-green" color, liner and EVEN early alu chinstrap (re-dyed too)...

                          What a waste

Why don't you try to carefully remove the Norwegian paint Chris?
                          My answers are also yes,no,yes,no,yes

Where is the M35 SS helmet itself Luca?

I seen one like Chris's but the decals were uncovered by a collector. It was a DD KM under the Norweigan overpaint....
Wonder if a SS one has turned up?

                              Thanks for the replies!!

The ss helmet was discussed before...The liner doesn't come with the helmet, was put in it by a collector...as the first collector who bought it from a Vet told me.

Is it possible to remove the norwegian paint to discover the original one??If so, in wich way?

Can anyone tell me the date of the liner band,if it is possible?

                              Thanks again..
