Decal Oppinions Please.

Hello,

I was wondering what you guys think of this Luftschutz decal?

It seams to be painted on to the helmet. The writing on the inside neck part needs oppinions too.

I'm putting this up for a friend and we are still wondering about this one. I'm not a Luftschutz guy so any oppinions would be appriciated.

I don't know how many makers there were of this particular type of decal, but it doesn't even come close to the one Luftschutz lid I have in my collection. This one is way sloppy.

It is indeed painted on but what gets me is, who in their right mind would take the time to paint that by hand on such a common helmet that can be found for $250.00?! Sloppy or not, it would take hours and hours to paint unless it's like you said, someone painted over a faided decal. I never thought of that. Good theory! The black in the decal is actually the helmet.

Someone took an extordinant amount of time to do that. When, where or who...one will never know. The skirt numbers look familiar from other luftshultz helmet I have seen. Never the less an interesting collectable.

Agreed, but you know it really gives dimention to a helmet collection with the different color and shape. You've gotta have one with a nearly perfect decal though.

Ok ... Ok. I guess I will have to add just ONE to the collection. But I have several others on the want list prior to getting the luftschultz.
