Are you considering buying both of these helmets from the same source? If so, I'd be leary. First, Neither one of the helmets has a convincing wear pattern to them and they both have identical wear. I couldn't even tell the helmets had changed when I looked at the thread. Something fishy afoot. I would be more than cautios on these. My opinion.

      helmets

I don't think either one of these helmets is convincing. Both wear patterns look contrived. The interiors look ok, but the helmets look weathered unnaturally. I wouldn't touch either one with a ten foot pole.

        helmet

It has been brought to my attention that the first helmet has already been posted here on the forum.

        Just for the record, http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ight=camo+helm

Pictures are poor but if I were you I would pursue both.

For me, the first helmet is more convincing. The second one is less due to the wear pattern... however, this could be caused by the type of paint/application (to much sand/wood content thus flakes off in spots when bumped).

Also, the link to the previous thread has more natural pics IMO and presents the 1st helmet in a better light. Personally I'm on the fence based on the pics. 1st helmet I would consider but the second I would not.

            Regards,

            Jim

I cannot see the typical indentation/chafing to the camo paint, one quite often sees around the rivets.....Perhaps that could be seen with a hands on inspection(?).....Going strictly by the photos, I believe I would pass.....Bodes

I partly agree with this.. Like I said, I think it has a chance but state here above... A in hand inspection would put it on the right place !

Its possible that they are both good but due to the poor quality pics I lean the other way. Before putting your money down try to secure some sort of a satisfaction guarantee. If the seller refuses then I would pass.

Here are some new pictures of helmet No. 2.

I think it looks alot better in these.
