It's salty but original, as far as I can say, and that's the most important ; I think it will sell on the e-stand if my opinion is confirmed.
About your link, as we're not TR forum members, the pics can't be seen ; the best is to post them directly here too.

LW flight helmet. Told it was an early observer cap. Date is 1936 or 38 can't tell what the last number is

Sorry about the size I only have a scanner

That poor Schiffchen! Almost no nap left to the wool, the torn lining, missing thread, etc. "Salty" is an understatement; more like "Relic"!

I used Photoshop to resize them.

Well, these items are not my field, I really dunno what they are worth. You could have an average idea visiting the e-stand to see if similar items were sold. Or some well known dealers, but in this case, remember that they are often at top prices. And well, finally adjust this average price with the condition of your 2 items.
Any more accurate idea here ?

I'd value the Schiffchen @ $40; the flight helmet $75

If it were mine I'd ask around $55-65 for the sidecap...Not sure about the flight cap....

For very easy cutting/pasting, resizing and etc. of pictures - I'd recommend to you IrfanView - a free program with excellet qualities!
