The 6inch figures had to be my all-time favorite target for firecrackers, BB gun, and dirt clods. I had many of them back in the early seventies. They were great! I miss those days.

Ty, it is funny that you ask. I went on ebay the other day after seeing this thread and they had a few vintage Marx sets listed. For the mega tank battle Marx kit, all original it was over 500.00 and climbing on the bid. Amazing.

It occurred to me that I never posted the pic of my complete set of Marx 6" German soldiers.

There were actually SEVEN in the set, the seventh one being the soldier standing, far left, in this photo, getting ready to bayonet someone on the ground. This one was infamous for being removed from a lot of toy store shelves after many parents complained that it was TOO violent.

Mine, unfortunately, has lost his bayonet over the years...

Yes, I went through two of them.

One had decals. I remember the national shield only for some reason.

The second one, as mentioned, had green camo shapes.

Both of them split from hard use and were thrown out.

Wow you brought back memories when I was a kid. I actually owned one. We kids would go out in the woods and play guns. German vs American. Good times that I miss.
