Helmet Help

I believe this to be a post-War border guard helmet being sold here in Koszalin. Just wanted too get some more/other opinions. He's selling it for about 50 pounds. What do you guys think? I've looked on the net but couldn't find much - especially regarding prices....Thanks in advance.

Yes, you are correct. It is a post war BGS helmet. The lack of liner rtetaining rivets is a dead giveaway! also the liner is different because of this!

Yes, its a post war, border guard, BGS helmet. But they are normally in good condition. Have never seen some in a rotted condition like this one. Depends on your personal preferation if you want ot buy it or not. 50 Pound, 70 Euro, 100 Dollars. I think Ebay Germany has always some BGS helmets on auction, to compare.

Thanks gents. The same seller has one helmet shell that is rusty inside but the outside has been repainted with a 'silly green' which I'm sure I could strip! He's selling this one for about 20 pounds (100zl). I cannot find much about prices on the net for rusty shells. Look, I'd rather buy a war era helmet to maybe restore/rescue. Ok, I'm babbling. Is it worth buying a rusty shell for 20 quid and then buying/finding a liner for it, stripping of the crap paint job and then spending the rest of my life looking at it?
