Green Luft Pith Helmet

I thought I'd post my recent purchase from the e-stand of a 1st-type green Luftwaffe Pith Helmet.
The helmet is dated 1942.

If only I didn't limit myself to only collecting Heer items Butch, I would have bought this in a second. My friend Bob Lyons keeps tantalising me by showing pics of his Luftwaffe collection but I keep fighting to stay on track.
Beautiful pith helmet, much more scarce than it's Heer counterpart.

Nice original.., saw them in pics mixed up with tan shirts and tan pants..
Owned a similar one, but a rare luft item crossed my way and I was forced to sell my green one, pity, but it found a good home.., not easy to find with original eagle..
