M38 opinions please

G'day

This M38 is going to be my going away present from the wife. My feeling is that it is original, since i will not be seeing it for about 3 months I thought that I'd better get some opinions from people who know these caps.

Unfortunately these are the only scans i
have at the moment. As i said, I will not get to handle this cap until I get back in 3-4 months. So all opinons are welcomed. Oh! I will not have access to this site for that time frame.

Looks good from the pictures. Pictures of the vent holes from the inside would be helpful.
