Also 1939 dome & ring dated , 2nd type runes applegreen helmet.
ET 64 . Nice patina....

That's great looking helmet. I'm about to buy a DD ET too.

Darryl - would you expect to see a DD second pattern decal on anything other than ET? It seems all M35 DD second patterns are on ETs, any truth to this?

Yes, I would expect to see the second pattern runes decal on one other helmet maker's product...in the factory-issued state of course.

Here's the info I had on your helmet.

-captured by Edward Martin SN 15055751, 376 Parachute Field Artillery, 82nd Airborne Regiment. He fought in the Rhineland in 1944/45.

I was told that his widow had a photo-album of his showing him with this "trophy" in a period picture. However, I was never able to get this pic or even see a copy of it.

SS helmet worth?

Since this is a original SS helmet what would a collector expect to pay to own a nice condition original helmet.

I sure would like to know what it may cost me to buy one but with
so much crap floating I would have no idea!

I think every collection should have a nice example but original
is a must and I know these are not easy.
