Panzer Overseas Hat

[Heer Flak]

This is a Overseas Hat I bought about 3 years ago.
The Hat is marked 58 on the liner. It also has other markings which is almost impossible to read. I can make out what appears to be DMITZE...Dn D A P? This hat has seen some use. Thoughts or comments are welcome. Does anyone know what this might be worth?

Hi,
your cap looks strange.
Officer eagle and no air vents. Black wool looks quite new, or it's a conversion from a NSKK or other similar caps.

From my understanding these EM caps like this should have the vents. I noticed the texture of the wool and the inside material doesn't look right at all. The M34 cut doesn't look right either, maybe we can get some more opinions from collectors that specialize in these?

I have to say your officers cap looks to be from the same source, the material/insigna looks identical..

The officers hat and the EM hat came from two different places. It may be my camera that is making them look the same. The officers cap which you mentioned is of much higher quality wool. The EM hat seems to be more on the rough side.

This cap is not Heer standar issue cap from what I can see from the pictures....the shape of the crown comes together more like a "v" than a wide flat 'boat" shape...the latter being 'correct') is not what a standard issue Heer cap reflected.
