I don't care if you think the price is too high, NTZ. If it is, it won't sell, and I'll lower the price or keep it. As for job openings, sure . . . I'd love to have you. Send your resume to my office

this is the second time craig has been discussed.
the discription is far fetched to say the least.the price, well if its too high it won't sell and it will have to be lowered.hell i could list a repro on the estand for whatever i want that is my buisness.the discription however is misleading and a newbie may be drawn in to buy it.
at the end of the day its up to people to educate themselves before they buy and craig really can put whatever price he wants.
the decal doesn't look great though

How can anyone Honestly say that the helmet is mint with a liner as bad as that? A Honest dealer should provide a straight on shot of the decal too.

Simple: I modified the listing, as an HONEST dealer, once questions arose. Will be glad to take photos on Monday and post. I also started a topic on GDC about the helmet also, so that it could be discussed.
GDC? I'm sure they will find it good for you or close the thread down.

But its only 1900.00 Not really worth trying to bribe a Helmet expert for a C.O.A, whats the going rate now for bribe offers? How much did you offer Fred Stephens on that blue panel luft before you had to call him out for dancing lessons???? That was 50k right? even at 20% its a lot of money. But I guess you cant buy a mans honor now can you?

Hello, I think this fine site would do well if NTZ were granted his own forum. Something along the lines of "NTZ's Im going to find the truth" or "why so expensive?" etc. He could examine the wares, present comments of a different military dealer each week. Maybe he could start with the 8-9 SS tunics on the Grenadier Military site for a few days then go to "The Collectors Guild". As an addendum he could offer up his opinions of his own collections values and what he would consider a fair price on each if he were to sell. This would free up many of the forums for more research. Bill Bourque

                Wel Now

Please keep in mind that it is not just Craig in the crosshairs, it is the Helmet. When you post pictures of an item in Public and ask serious money for it you take the risk of People looking real hard at the item. NTZ, is more than fair in scrutinizing items from various Dealers. As he said it was the big price tag that got his attention. And Craig might actually like the attention. If the are not talking about you I can assure you the cash register is not ringing! I bet he is getting a lot of hits for a Superbowl Sunday. Now about that decal.....

A lot of dealers have bad items as well as collectors, we all make mistakes. But its a character issue here. This man is a car salesman with no product knowledge and would sell his mother for a buck.

I want to know how much he offered to Don Boyle for blank C.O.A's for honor rings he would not be allowed to see in hand. And where do all these mint rings come from anyway, are they all out of the woodwork?

Its time to pay the piper

I would suggest that with the current state of the hobby, examining dealers offerings as to originality, and possibly outrageous price gouging, would be one of the major benifits of this board and others.
I think it is great that newer collectors, who do not have the benifit of years of hands on experience of some of the wise old owls here, get to see what often really is happening when they shell out their hard earned cash for that "mint" item.
I think it is good that they can be exposed to some of the things we all know are going on in this hobby.
I'm not saying this as any accusation against Craig. I'm speaking not only of dealer offerings, but items posted on e-stand too.
Or should we all just close our eyes and let the sheep get fleeced, because after all, we know how to not let it happen to us?
And oh yea, what about that decal?

                    Cheers,
                    Johnnie

He posted it on GDC so his buddies can come in and say how great he is and what a rough life dealers really have.

This dealer tries to bribe experts, sells bogus pieces, puts together daggers and makes groupings, all to make a buck. When are people going to stop giving this guy a pass on this stuff. He lacks knowledge and when called on items he fights with no ammo till people get tired.

With the current condition of GDC, I doubt much useful will come out of it.

Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.
