Bought this from a fellow member. Very mint. Has only a single button, I'm used to seeing two but I really don't know much about these. Opinions please.

I don't know much about these and am still in the process of learning SS M43's myself. I am lucky enough to have purchased a "Dachau" SS M43 from the daughter of a 10th mountain Div. veteran. Looking at it I have to say it's much different than yours....Maybe that's ok...anyone else have a opinion?

Nice to hear about your Dachau cap. I think the best part is the fact that you got it from the family of a veteran. I know we're not susposed to buy the story, but when it's legitimate I think it's great. This seller had a Dachau Panzer Cap available also but it was not in as good of shape as this one. I just don't know anything about headgear but I jumped on this one and a few others of his because he is selling off his whole collection.

Ok, I'll take a little stab at it or at least raise some questions I would have....
This from what I know is not the typical "Dachau" M43EM SS cap, but it does have the later war embroidered trap that you would expect to see on a "Dachau" M43EM , so I'd have to ask this....Is it a early style M43 since it's not a "Dachau" type? If so would it be ok to have this late trap on it?

To be honest it looks like one of the hats At the Front made a year or so back. They had some WW2 era wool re-dyed black and made some single button panzer hats. The liner just doesnt fit the bill I think.
