Again, it's interesting to note that WAF allows open negative discussion about some people, but not others, like Craig Gottlieb, who has been caught more times with his pants down than any other dealer out there, except maybe Roger Steel, who BTW, wound up going the same way Gottlieb probably will.

As I recall, nopoop, weren't you banned from that forum for selling fake helmets ?

I give this post about 5 minutes before it disappears, as "it's not in keeping with the spirit of the forum".

That's a great idea if you want to sit in front of your computer all day long and work for eBay vetting stuff. Personally I don't, nor do I want to vet everything that dealers have to offer. There has to be a line in the sand that says the collector must take control and learn his hobby first and foremost be responsible for his collecting. The dealers don't care, eBay doesn't care, etc. You better learn to fend for yourself. You have other collectors and these forums, which have an archive of good and bad if we can ever get people to use the search engine and teach themselves, but most of the time it is somebody totally ignorant of these things... hey, it looks neat! or investment bankers who just want a quick answer.

EXACTLY:Today's generation of collector feels they ought just be able to shell out the cash, and not worry about anything. They shouldn't have to spend their time reading, researching, studying, or any of the "boring stuff".Which is why they get burned half the time. And deservedly so, imho.

Nopoop was banned because he exposed what Roger was doing here with some simple comments. Roger pulled off what can only be called a Damage control cover up manuver on his forum.

Ehrenkreutz - If you have a problem with what is going on with the other forums related on the WAF take it up with the management or start a thread in a appropriate forum for that discussion. The Helmet Forum is not going to be your dumping ground related to dragging other persons into this thread especially when this thread was an update of an individual.
