The trouble fakers have is to make a convincing wire camo (or any camo for that matter) that is in nice combat condition. Because they can't, they have to hide obvious features in rust, heavy damage and excessive wear. Have you ever seen a German soldier wearing a helmet in this condition? Have a look at my post showing original wire, string and painted camos on the GDC forum. That's what real helmets looked like.

Looks like the FJ helmet in question did not sell. It was offered again, starting on Jul7th, but ended early for some reason. And, it was not a matter of someone paying the $5000 to "buy it now".

Another "great" job ! eBay is a strange place : very often good items do not sell (I know what I'm speaking about !), and obviouses junks find buyers...
But this one is not obvious, no doubt that it can fool a lot of people ; I even see nothing wrong with the remains of the decal, at least from what I can see from here ; the red flags are elsewhere, as it was already said, but how many will miss them ?Comment
