M43's are not my area but I would say it's going to be tough with those pics..
The bill seems kinda short but it could be the pics..Maybe Gary W. or Scott will comment..

              Jakeb,

Wiser than I should be fit to help you out on this piece. As Perry referred to better snaps would greatly assist.

Have attached an image of an M43 that is original, black panzer although unlike your own it is and was specifically manufactured for the HG Division. Gives you a comparison of sorts.

              Hope it helps.

              Billy

                      Jakeb,

The snaps I posted are a true likeness of colour, as sometimes it does not always work out that way. Length of bill does differ. Hopefully if you post some clearer & closer images a few of the very knowledgable guys in this field will assist.

I would be very sceptical about that M43 Panzer cap. On the flaps, the sewing lines run too far away from the edges. These sewing lines are also uneven. The crown of the cap seems also wrong.

                        Regards,

                        Mark

                            Panzer M43

                            Hi Jakeb,

Very astute observation by Herr Langemark - I have to concur that the hem stitch lines are indeed much too far in from the edges, for my taste.

To answer your pricing question, an authentic Panzer Other Ranks M43 would value at anywhere from $1500 to $1750 in today's market, depending on the condition - and on the seller. The Herman Goring Division cap there, would be around $4K (I recently saw an original SS officer's combat tunic w/slip on boards for a Sturmbannfuhrer in the Totenkopf Division [Totenkopf right collar tab], which an old high school friend of mine and collecting compatriot bought for $8,000 cash; beside it on the rack was a HG panzer wrapper for an Unteroffizier in near mint condition -and that was priced at $10,000 - beating out the SS tunic even - they are that rare (it was absolutely authentic).

                              panzer m43 cap

                              hi guys
thats one of the problems is that the cap isnt a textbook m43.. so the stitching on the turndowns would rule this out as an orignial cap it would have to be custom made cap
